We have three rescue dogs, Sable, Wrigley, and Nicky.  The word rescue brings an awareness that our pups needed saving – each beautiful dog had suffered at the hands of humans. We needed a pet sitter who was a dog whisperer, and Michelle is that person.  After interviewing several pet sitters, I felt exhausted and discouraged and thought there was no one out there who would love our dogs as we do.  We found Michelle, and gradually introduced our dogs to her through scheduled walks, an afternoon stay, and finally, our first overnight away.  Michelle updated us throughout the evening and morning, letting us know how each of the dogs was doing, knowing we were worried about them.  The messages eased our minds, and allowed us to have our first night away in four years.  Knowing that Michelle was there, loving each pup for who they are, knowing their personalities, their vulnerabilities, and spending time with our fur kids means the world to us.  More importantly, it means safety, security, and love for our pups. Michelle is the one and only for our “kids”.

From the first moment of meeting her, Michelle impressed me for her intuitiveness with animals. Our shy dog was instantly at ease with her. While we were gone, Michelle sent me daily emails telling me how things were going. These very detailed emails (how he put his paw on her arm to keep her from leaving, the way he greeted her when she walked in the door and how this evolved over the week as he got to know her, etc.) completely put my mind at ease and quickly became the highlight of my day throughout the trip. We’ve had petsitters before, but the difference she made for my peace of mind stands apart from the rest. We can finally plan vacations and feel okay about leaving our dog at home in Michelle’s care.

I have two dogs that mean the “world” to me.  I rarely go out of town…  Literally, by the grace of God I learned of Michelle and her pet sitting service.  I can not begin to say how much the “girls” and I adore her.  She kept me informed the entire time I was away.  She is the best thing that has happened to all of us in a LONG time.  For the first time in my adult life I was able to leave my doggies and actually be relaxed.  Michelle is a wonderful, wonderful person.  Her love for dogs is completely obvious and she can handle and get along with any type personality…I know!!!  My littlest dog is a MONSTER and she loves Michelle.  I would HIGHLY recommend Michelle to anyone…but ESPECIALLY to all pet owners who are afraid to leave their animals and take a trip.  She is absolutely wonderful!!!

We have 2 cats and 2 dogs in Beaverton, OR.  Michelle has been absolutely great with taking loving care of our pets when we have to be gone.

All our pets are on the elderly side:  the 15YO cat has kidney failure, and our two arthritic doggies are chow mixes, with one being blind in one eye.  Talk about a “special needs” crew!  It gets pretty complicated with morning medications for three of them, in addition to feeding special foods for two.  I leave a detailed instruction sheet, and Michelle carries everything out to the letter, and also reports in detail on how things went with everyone.

Michelle even agreed to learn how to give the cat subcutaneous fluids when we had to be gone for a longer trip.  Admittedly, Morgan is about the most laid back cat about the whole procedure as you’d ever want to see — but IMHO that really is going above and beyond, to be willing to learn a procedure that some pet owners have difficulty with themselves.  I don’t know what I would have done otherwise – other than I would have worried a lot while I was gone!  And I will comfortably depend on her again when we are gone for 3 weeks on an upcoming trip.

I trust Michelle to be aware of the animals’ needs, not just come in and plunk down some food.  She is a true animal lover and a professional.

Michelle, thank you for taking care of Kelty and my sister;s dog Redford. It is always reassuring to know that you will be here watching them, making sure they are safe. It is extremely helpful when you cannot be at home to leave the animals (donkeys too) with someone who is knowledgeable and a good communicator. They are walked, fed per my direction and not stressing out.

Leaving someone in your home is not an easy thing to do. I was especially grateful when we had our daughters graduation and we were returning with a houseful of guests and you were willing to wash the sheets and make up the room ready for them to arrive, not missing a beat.

I also appreciate when you text me, you are available on your cell if we have to communicate with you.

Whenever we use a new innsitter/petsitter we do have some concern about what state the Inn will be in when we arrive home. However Michelle was outstanding in making certain the Inn was left in better shape than when we left! We were extremely impressed. So much so that we have used her for two other breaks since, even our for 5 week vacation. We simply knew we would not have to worry. She also pampers our pets, making us feel fine leaving them. Ultimately our guests tell us that while we were away they were well looked after, which is the most satisfying thing for us to hear.”

We also have a cat that Michelle takes care of while we are away. Tunny (the cat) does not even seem to notice that we are gone. My husband and I have never been a long vacation and certainly never without our two dogs, Misty and Shantel. However we were going on a cruise and my one dog, Shantel has never spent any time without us. I was very concerned how she would react being left behind as well as a stranger coming in to take care of her. When my husband and I came home, we were very pleased to see that not only were the two of them well taken care of, but they did not even seem to miss us!

Michelle has come to mean a lot us and our dogs. We now have a reliable and caring pet sitter that we can call at an instant notice if need be.
